Nanning Arboretum of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, also known as Nanning Liangfengjiang National Forest Park, was established in 1979 and is a state-owned forest farm directly under the autonomous region. The total area of operating forest land is 640000 acres, with a total asset value of 2.8 billion yuan. For many years, it has been awarded honors such as National Civilized Unit, National Greening Model Unit, National 4A Tourist Attraction, National Top Ten Forest Farms, China's Most Beautiful Forest Farm, National Science Popularization Education Base, and National Forestry Key Leading Enterprise.

During the 13th Five Year Plan period, Nanning Arboretum deeply tapped the potential of the "mountains" and made full use of the "forest", achieving a total economic output value of 187 million yuan under the forest, forming a new pattern of economic development under the forest with the "three lines" of under-story planting, under-story aquaculture, and forest landscape utilization. Next, Nanning Arboretum will focus on building brands of under-story Chinese medicinal materials, golden tea, and woody vegetables, constructing demonstration zones for under-story medicinal and edible industries, accelerating the construction of core demonstration zones for southern China's sika deer breeding science popularization and tourism industries, exploring the integrated development of the primary, secondary, and tertiary industries of under-story economy, based on ecological and location advantages, expanding and strengthening the China Forestry Ecological City and Nanning project, achieving efficient utilization and development of forest landscapes, and striving to become a national demonstration base for under-story economic development by the end of the 14th Five Year Plan period.
